Sound Mental Health
There are plenty of companies that do good in the Puget Sound, but you picked social service provider Sound Mental Health as your favorite large nonprofit because of its compassion, professionalism and mission to strengthen the community and improve the lives of its clients. Serving more than 12,000 people annually for treatment of diagnoses ranging from depression to schizophrenia, SMH "goes above and beyond to serve its clientele," enthuses one worker. The company also goes out of its way to serve its employees, giving them fully paid medical and dental benefits, life insurance, up to six weeks paid vacation and 12 days of paid sick leave a year, and they even offer a pro-rated benefits package to part-timers. That's a bit of employer altruism we can all relate to.
