At F5 Networks in Seattle, the networking application company winds down each week with Beer Friday, a hosted miniparty of microbrews, wine and snacks. "Away" messages fill computer screens as employees descend on the game room, drinks in hand, to play foosball, pinball, air hockey and ping pong. Yep, F5 workers have started the weekend, and they're still at work. Lots of other employees told us they appreciate the generous $300 monthly stipend that encourages people to try alternate transportation options. Others feel the love with massages they can get at work two times a week. So if you're trying to get in touch with someone at F5 and he's not at his desk, don't worry.
