It's the second year in a row that PACE has been voted the area's favorite temp agency. We asked the company what the key is to creating happy clients, and they said it's being both thorough and direct. PACE believes in taking extra time in the beginning to really get to know their clients so that they can be sure to find a good job match. And they practice what they call "fierce conversations" -- which means being straightforward, direct and honest in all business communications. PACE staffers say that having a female founder and president, Jeanne Knutzen, at the helm helps in conveying a personal and caring touch. Based on the assessment of one client, it sounds like their strategy comes through: "They are the nicest people. No stupid games."
