Winners:

Best large corporation

Workers at Premera Blue Cross weren't shy in telling us why they work for this year's "Best large corporation." Numerous Premera employees mentioned great benefits, great managers and the feeling of teamwork shared among associates. More than one voter echoed the sentiment that "they genuinely care about their employees." The mechanics, engineers and fabricators over at MacDonald-Miller Facility Solutions mentioned the great management, family atmosphere and impressive benefits package that their company offers. And the techies working at F5 boasted of "great culture, with unlimited career potential." Sounds like we have some nice business giants in our neck of the woods!

Honorable mention:

Starbucks
Here's just one tale that a happy Starbucks corporate employee shared with us about the coffee giant's commitment to keeping its workers happy: "We had a fire drill the other day at our Sodo complex. Thirty-five hundred people had to exit and re-enter the building in three waves because we would have overwhelmed the elevators. Knowing we would be in the parking lot for a while, they hired a reggae band to play for us." Is this what Bob Marley's album "Catch a Fire" is about?
