Why is there a User Agreement
The User
Agreement is a legal document that spells out the relationship between you and
NWclassifieds.com. Please also refer to our pricing, privacy statement, and publisher’s statement on the Federal Fair Housing Act for additional policy information.
Will the User Agreement change?
It may change
periodically. When revisions are needed, changes will be posted to the site and
are effective immediately.
Why
was one listing removed, while another similar listing remains on the site?
If
a listing is removed, it's probably because the item was prohibited,
questionable, infringing or potentially illegal as stated in the User Agreement and a specific
complaint was reported. Listed items similar to the ones removed may remain on
the site unless we are notified about them. If you feel a listing violates our User Agreement, please contact our online customer
support team.
How do I know
if an item I want to sell is potentially illegal or not?
NWclassifieds.com
provides a list of prohibited, questionable, infringing and potentially illegal items that may not be listed on our site. This is not a complete list and is only intended to provide representative examples. If you have consulted the list and are not sure if an item you would like to sell is legal or not, do not sell that item without checking with an attorney or local agencies that may know the specific laws
regarding your item.
What
happens if someone violates the User Agreement?
The
User Agreement allows NWclassifieds to warn the advertiser and/or delete a
listing if an advertiser breaches any part of the User Agreement. Fraudulent
and illegal items are strictly prohibited on NWclassifieds. Any seller who
attempts to sell prohibited items or commit fraud will be prosecuted to the
fullest extent of the law. Please review the User Agreement and the Prohibited,
Questionable & Infringing Items page for additional information.
How
do I report an offending ad?
If
you feel that an item is listed in the wrong category, or that an item is
potentially prohibited, questionable, infringing, or fraudulent, please
contact our online customer
support team. Once received, your complaint will be
investigated, and appropriate action will be determined.
How can
I edit my ad?
We don’t
currently offer the ability to edit your ad online. Please be sure to review your ad thoroughly on the review page when placing your ad online as this is your last chance to make any edits to your ad.
I’ve
sold my item, how do I delete my ad from the site?
Please send
a request to deletewebads@nwclassifieds.com
and include the text of the ad in the
e-mail. Ads will be deleted within
48 hours of e-mail receipt.
Does my
ad go in the newspaper?
If you wish to place an ad that is published in the newspaper and online, please call 206-624-SELL (7355) or visit our print/online place an ad page.
When
will my ad start?
If you've scheduled your ad to start today, once your credit card transaction has been approved and completed, your ad will be posted to the NWclassifieds Web site. This usually happens within a few hours. You may also select a start date up to two weeks in the future. In that case, your ad will be posted by midnight on that date.
What do
I need to do to place a Web-only ad?
You must
use our online form
and secure server credit card form to place an ad. These ads may not be placed by phone or fax.
You will
need the following information:
·
Specific
details about the item you are selling
·
Your
credit card
·
Digital
Photo on your computer or disk drive if you would like to add a photo.
What if
I have trouble using your form?
If you have
specific questions or problems with our form, please e-mail our online customer
support team and someone will get back to you as soon as possible, Monday through Friday.
How can I pay for my ad?
We accept
VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. We do not accept corporate purchasing cards. We currently don’t offer the option to
be billed or use any other method of payment except credit card.
I’d like
to add a photo to my ad, but don’t have one in digital format. What should I do?
Many major
drugstore chains now have self-service kiosks that allow you to scan your photo
and save it to a disk. Most
film-processing centers and copy centers will scan your images if you prefer
not to use a kiosk. You can also have your undeveloped film processed into
digital format for an additional fee at most film-processing centers.
